Flagship Projects
Skeeby Solar & BESS
One of REIL Renewables’ flagship developments, Skeeby Solar secured planning consent for a 40MW solar farm with co-located battery energy storage near Richmond, North Yorkshire.
The project is expected to generate enough renewable electricity to power approximately 11,455 homes, offset over 21,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually and deliver a Biodiversity Net Gain exceeding 118%.
In addition, the associated 70MWh Skeeby Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) is currently under construction by Tesla, with energisation expected in Q4 2026. The project will provide critical grid flexibility and energy storage capacity, supporting the UK’s transition to a more resilient and secure electricity system.
Brompton Solar
REIL Renewables also participated in the development of Brompton Solar, a 50MW solar generation project that recently secured planning consent.
The project is expected to energise in 2028 and will contribute to the delivery of additional renewable generation capacity, supporting regional energy security and the UK’s long-term decarbonisation objectives.
